Performance for WordPress

A faster site, and an explanation for every change

Most optimisation plugins give you switches and hope. Genio WPO reads what your pages actually load, measures what runs, and tells you in plain words what it is doing and what it would cost you - before it does anything it cannot undo.

What it does

Makes WordPress faster, and tells you what it changed and why.

◇

Caching that knows when not to

Pages, database queries and objects, with Redis or Memcached when your server has them. Carts, checkouts and logged-in visitors are never served a stale page.

◈

It reads WordPress, not tea leaves

Before touching a script it asks WordPress what depends on it. Anything another script needs is left alone - not switched off, and not moved either, because a dependency that loads late breaks a page just as surely.

✦

Images and fonts

WebP and AVIF where your server can write them, lazy loading, and Google Fonts served from your own domain - faster, and it keeps your visitors' IP addresses out of it.

◆

A profiler, not just a score

How long PHP takes, how many database queries a page makes, which of them, and which outside servers your site waits on. The answer to a slow site is usually in there.

○

Gravatar, finally cacheable

Avatars served from your domain instead of Gravatar's, so they can be cached - which removes a PageSpeed warning you cannot otherwise fix.

↺

Undo, always

A restore point before anything changes. Auto-Optimize applies only what can be reversed and recommends the rest, with the consequence spelled out.

✦

Built to be checked, not trusted

Every decision it makes comes with the reason, and the reason is a fact it can point at - what depends on what, what was measured, what it could not measure. Where it does not know, it says so.
